I compliment myself for this very interesting interview with the best contemporary interpret of Jung whom I met reading Il lamento dei morti (The deads’complaint) his interview to Hillman, which is “super”! In some way his kind of “deep sensible approach” is analogue to another oriental/occidental contemporary author Beyung Chul Han…..Thank you!
Thank you Roberta, It's not only always a pleasure to hear from you but you never cease to mention these interesting writers and thinkers whom I've never read before. Another name for the reading list I guess... Glad I'm traveling to Berlin tomorrow, I'll look Chul Han up
👍 It s a pleasure for me too because your work connects me to other ideas /situations/authors always to re-visit under new light, giving me new glimpses…. The work is always in progress 💡…..thank you.
I really liked this interview, especially the part that Jung helped legitimize Freud, and not the other way around. I just wish the world knew that, instead of us having to see the offshoots of Freud’s ideas still permeate most of mental health now. I’m sure the conversation could have gone for longer too. What was it like for you to interview him?
Thanks Vanessa! It was an absolute pleasure for me. I follow Prof. Shamdasani for years now - ever since I got my hands on The Red Book, and was very excited to pick his brains so to speak. I read quite a lot of his articles about the history of psychology but not his books - which I definitely should!

Haven’t even listened to it yet, but am very excited for this conversation! Thank you!
Thanks Vanessa, would love to hear what you think

I own and love The Red Book, Chen.
I’m going to save this to listen to this week. Outside of Substack I’m the managing editor of Jung Journal: Culture & Psyche.
